Motor failure is caused either by normal wear and tear or by stalling the motor under power. Stalling the Alias motor is the worst thing you can do to it. Stopping the rotor with power applied is extremely hard on the brushes and repeatedly doing so can easily ruin the motor. Get off the throttle stick when you know you are going to crash. That includes “Gently” bumping into walls or anything else. Taking off in tall grass will also damage the brushes due to the resistance against the props. As the flight times with no solid object contact improve so will the life span of the motors.
